Partner Signal exists for a specific, recurring problem: manufacturers and distributors who would suit each other rarely find each other at the right moment. We work on that timing problem with research.
The problem we work on
When a manufacturer needs a distributor in a new territory, the announcement usually sits on a single web page, waiting to be found. When a distributor loses a product line or looks to expand, it can be difficult to identify which manufacturers are actively seeking distributors at a given time. Many companies still rely on trade shows, personal networks, and informal referrals to find potential distribution partners.
Partner Signal treats those public announcements — recruitment notices, channel changes, territory openings — as signals. We collect them, check them, and connect them to the companies they are relevant to, in the industrial and measurement equipment sectors.
How we work
Principles
Published sources only
Our research is based on publicly available information, prioritising official company announcements, websites, and partner directories. Where we use third-party trade publications or other sources, we identify them clearly. If information cannot be verified, we say so rather than fill gaps with assumptions.
Honest reporting
Refusals, silence, conflicts, and unknowns are reported as they are. A shortlist from us states what we could not verify as clearly as what we could.
A limited, stated role
We research and introduce; we do not negotiate, contract, or handle funds on either side's behalf. The limits are set out in writing on our Services page.
The operator
Run personally, end to end
Partner Signal is operated by Natsuki Kita, a sole proprietor based in Japan. All research, shortlisting, and correspondence are handled directly by the operator — when you write to us, the reply comes from the person who did the research.
Based in Japan, we work with manufacturers and distributors internationally. The countries and territories covered are defined according to each engagement.
